Learning and development (L&D) leaders have earned a seat at the table — shaping capabilities, technology and workforce strategy. Maturity data confirms it. But presence doesn’t equal influence. There’s a persistent gap between participation and truly owning decisions. This session explores that gap, using maturity data and a moderated panel to examine where execution breaks down and what it takes for L&D to lead with authority.
Panelists will share the shifts they’ve made after seeing the data and understanding the gaps: how they reframed executive conversations, made tradeoffs visible, clarified ownership and strengthened follow-through.
By the end of this session, participants will leave with:
- A clearer understanding of how maturity data can help reposition L&D from participant to decision owner
- Real-world examples of leadership behaviors that build credibility and trust
- A short, practical set of actions to strengthen execution and accountability within their current operating model
- A way to assess where their own leadership stance is helping or limiting their impact
